Over 40 Years of Excellence
United Pipeline Systems was founded in western Canada in 1984 to protect steel pipelines from corrosion in the oil and gas industry. The initial efforts to implement corrosion-resistant internal coatings for steel pipelines faced challenges with application and joint integrity, highlighting the necessity for a more effective corrosion protection method. United addressed this need by introducing a lining solution involving the use of polyethylene (PE) pipes installed within the steel pipeline.
The Tite Liner System was conceived by one of the founders of United, and in conjunction with Dupont Canada, Tite Liner was developed, tested, and patented. The advantages of a hybrid steel and PE pipe system soon became widely recognized as a durable solution. Today, our Tite Liner system offers the industries we serve with our experience of over 20,000 miles of Tite Liner protection, from 2 inches to 52 inches in diameter – with operating pressures up to 7,500 psi.
